PRC Day 4

It was parent group time again today. Two hours of HEAVY conversation. Today was about depression and suicide as it relates to teens with chronic pain. Ugh. I cried today as they talked about it. And you would be surprised to know that I have only cried twice since we have been here. Yes, I'm counting. Because the first day I didn't cry. And the second day I didn't cry. And that has got to be a record.

Things are not getting done here like they do at home. The person who does half of everything in my life isn't here. Okay, sometimes it is more than half. I'm not counting. My car is filthy. My bed isn't made. The trash needs to go out. I'm not meant to be single. It wouldn't be pretty.

We picked up Maid-Rite for dinner tonight. I ate at Maid-Rite growing up in rural Illinois but I haven't been there in 30 years. It was kind of a trip down memory lane for me. Selective memory - - only the good stuff.

Therapy dogs Timber and Tucker were at RMH tonight. And in case you have forgotten about my awesome photography skills, let me refresh your memory.

Hannah has been doing some crafting in the evenings. On my bed. That isn't made.

This program is on a rolling admission which means that the kids all start and end on different days. Hannah has started making a frame with a scripture verse in it that the kids can put a picture in of the group. That is an awkward sentence. And I don't know how to fix it. Just look at the picture. Overlook the glare.

P.S. The laundry is DONE! I love laundry. That's why it gets done. But I hate putting it away. That's why you can see it on the bed. Oh, wait. I meant to show that I do something. Ummmm - the laundry is DONE!

  1. Missed seeing you tonight in choir. So glad to get to keep up with you guys this way! Keep it up--the pictures are great! Not very many of us can be a Mike Cole or a Maegan K!

We love y'all tons, and we'll be so glad to see you back after you're experts at all of this!

BTW, you're car is dirty because you're driving in Minnesota in the winter. Wash it, and it gets dirty coming out of the car wash parking lot! If it's not salt, don't worry about it.

    Lots of Love!!!
    2 Corinthians 1:3-5

  2. Oh sister...I woke up the house laughing this morning! Greg had to come see what I was laughing about! HA!! First of skills?? Honey...when you get back...well BOTH take some lessons, okay? I had been thinking your pictures were great so far...then came the blurry photo of Hannah and the dogs. LOL Hilarious!

I'm with Melissa...don't worry about the car, messy bed and other things. You have far more greater things to do there right now. What a wonderful mother/daughter time you are having, and you can invest your time in "living out loud" (love that Point of Grace song).

Yes...we STILL miss you at choir, friend. You "think" you don't add a lot with singing (I still say whatever), but you add so much with your smile and constant laughs at your hubby's antics. He's much milder when you are gone. :)

I LOVE Hannah's craft projects!!! It's so typical of your family's precious nature!! You two are making eternal differences even if you don't see them right now.

Praying everyday for Mom's strength to endure and daughter's continued strides with the program!

    LOVE you both!! ((hug)) Angie

  3. Whew! I'm all caught up...thanks to Emma. I've been a grading fool this week and she insisted that we check in on Hannah as soon as we got home tonight. :)

I love the photo cuteness!!! Happy crafting to YOU!

And I do NOT love laundry. Washing. Drying. And definitely dislike putting it away too! So you are ahead of me. LOL!

    Take care...

  4. Anne and Hannah,
It has been awhile since I have seen both of you. Praying for you as you go through this journey. Anne, you have seen my van in the past, I certainly do not enjoy washing my vehicle..:)
I hope your time in this program is peaceful, productive and will be a time you can look back on as a time of growth for both of you...
Hugs and much love from the Seays in Hong Kong !!!
