PRC Day 12

Happy Monday! It is a happy Monday here! Ken and Sarah Jordan arrive tomorrow and Hannah and I are so ready to see them! I can not wait to revert to the wallflower that is my comfort zone! Our time here has been a real stretch for me. It has taken me out of my comfort zone in a lot of ways. And it isn't that I'm not capable to doing these things, it's just that they stretch me. You know, things like, talking, finding my way around a new town, talking, figuring out the hospital, talking, moving in and out of hotels, talking . . . you get the idea. And now I am ready to ride the coattails of the man who signed up for the job 20 years ago. Okay, maybe he didn't exactly sign up for that part. That was just a bonus! Lucky guy!

Hannah skyped with her 7th grade girls Bible Study tonight. I think they all got a kick out of being able to do that. She talked with them a bit and showed them around the room. Then she took them on a tour of the Ronald McDonald House and introduced them to one of the guys in the program that she happened upon. (Insert the sound of screaming 7th grade girls here.)

You can see them a little here in this picture. But what you can see even better is the fingerprints on the screen. I'm saving them.

  1. Ok, I can't wait to see you tomorrow -- 12:40 pm ....that's when I get a hug and big kiss from two of my three ladies of my life!.....
Yes, and I can't wait to take on my "usual" responsibilities in my life.....no worries, just tell me what to do -- it will be good to see your face when you give me directions, instead of just texts and emails....:) (just kidding lovely lady!).....sorry, just a little sleep deprived right now....hopefully I'll be able to catch up once we all get home!.....

I can't wait to meet all the folks who have been in both of your lives for the past 3 1/2 weeks....

Thanks for writing this blog everyday--it has been a great support for SJ and I. It has made me smile every time that I open it and read about your day. In fact, most days I have quite a laugh 'cause of your great stories, honesty and daily tales of two women on a road trip to Minnesota--and all of their experiences....(of course, I wish I could have been there for all of them, but then I wouldn't have been able to read your great versions of the day :)

Ok, only a few hours -- must get to bed so we can leave early, early, early.

    All my love,
    Hannah's daddy and Annie's lifemate

  2. Oh Happy Day!!! I can finally POST on your blog after a glitch with my computer/google account/yours truly (who knows who'll claim responsibility here!?)....I've missed being able to post. Luckily I can text with no problem, huh? :) Another HAPPY moment...the Montgomery's will be reunited today!!! YIPPEE!! I can attest to one thing....you will be going through a car wash after you pick up Ken & SJ at the airport. I just have a gut feeling! LOL

Sister....I am going to MISS YOUR BLOG when you get home!! You have such a wonderful gift of humor and words. This is what so many people MISS when they really don't get a chance to "really know" this side of Anne. I just adore you! :)

ENJOY your last few days there and you'll be able to actually be a "Passenger" on the drive back home this time. HOW NICE, HUH??

I will miss y'all since we'll be away on Spring Break when you get back....but I look forward to catching up when we get back!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO enormously THANKFUL for this program....please convey this to all the staff at Mayo! We are forever grateful for putting that smile back on our sweet Hannah's face!!!

    LOVE you guys!!! Angie
